How do I register my child for camp?

Fill out the registration form and send the registration fee. We will contact you to verify registration and send you health, waiver, and photo release forms to fill out and bring to the camp on opening day, July 1, 2012. Please ensure you make a copy of insurance card (back and front) to go with the forms.

Will my child be provided transportation to and from the camp?

Call Cherybe Thornton, transportation coordinator at 205-960-5057, if you need to make transportation arrangements for your child.

How do I pay for camp?

We only accept check or money order payable to Shocco Springs.

What should my child bring to camp?

Click on Packing List. It will give you two lists. The first list is things campers will need to bring to camp. The second list is things campers cannot bring to camp.

Will the camp provide snacks and drinks for my child?

Yes, we do provide snacks to campers a few times a day. Snacks and drinks are usually available at anytime.

Who can go to camp?

Deaf / Hard of Hearing

Child of Deaf Adult (CODA)

Sibling of Deaf Camper (SODC)

The hearing campers will be fully exposed to the Deaf culture. American Sign Language (ASL) is the primary method of communication with spoken English included.
